Get The UK Out Of Debt
This is going to take at least a century but it should be started to save future generations problems. It calls for new thinking on all future Governments. Only incompetent Governments do not think of future generations.
U K Governments should do more to make the UK the most enterprising country in the world. With 53% of the worlds most useful items being invented in this country last century we should have got a lot of wealth from those ideas. But sadly, short-sightedness and the seeking of quick gains meant a lot of other nations have benefited.
The oil discovered in the North Sea should have set this Island up for many decades of saving from massive imports of oil but that is not the case as successive governments have failed to run the Country economically efficiently.
A complete re-think is required of what we pay for and how we pay for it. Although we are in the 21st Century it looks like future generations shall be paying for 20th Century lack of foresight.
I know it will probably take 5-10 years to sort the mess out caused by the last Government but that should not deter us from taking action to safe guard future generations. Set out a plan to clear the national debt NOW.
This maybe a novel idea to many politicians but the Government should be setting an example to the population and live witin it's means! Only spend what it collects in Tax's.
